SYP Passion Has Red Lips Shiraz/Cab 2017
This juicy McLaren Vale red is sourced from 8 core vineyards and is a blend of three-quarters Shiraz and one-quarter Cabernet. The vine age varies between 9 and 35 years. After seven days on skins the juice is pressed to neutral French barriques (30%) and stainless steel (70%) for a 10-month maturation. The Cabernet provides the acidity and elongated tannin allowing, giving the supple Shiraz shape and structure. There's lovely fleshy fruit that floods the mouth and glides across the palate. Then there's excellent, cool, fresh acidity and tannins balancing the wines sweet fruit. A precise and astute Passion with plenty of oomph.
